The Lion Inside | Board Book

'The Lion Inside' is a beautiful sturdy cardboard picture book about a little mouse who wants to be as brave as a lion. Will he succeed?

A small mouse feels unseen and misunderstood due to its size and looks up (literally) immensely to the lion, who is heard by everyone with his loud roar. Despite his fear, the mouse decides to apprentice himself to the lion. But once he stands nose-to-nose with the most powerful predator on earth, it turns out that there is also a scared little mouse hidden inside that tough lion. For children aged 3 and up.

Writer Rachel Bright and illustrator Jim Field are the duo behind popular picture books such as 'The Squirrels Who Squabbled', 'Koala Lou's Heart's Desire' (translators note: original Dutch title was 'Laat maar los, Koala' which translates to 'Just let go, Koala') and 'Wolfie Wants to Go Home'. All their animal stories are beautiful to look at, contain a valuable lesson, and have been wonderfully translated into rhyme by Bette Westera.
