A backpack full of

On the table is the most hideous backpack in the world. A large brown one, with a leather bottom, many pockets, and leather straps. It looks like it came from the Second World War. Or perhaps even the First. That's certainly how it smells.

Obi has to take the train to his mother because she can't pick him up, and his father can't drop him off. And he also has to wear that stupid, old backpack because he lost his other one.

As if all that wasn't bad enough, he also spends too much money on a pocketknife, leaving him without enough to buy a train ticket. So Obi decides to walk to the next station. Of course, that doesn't go well at all. And then he also hears something in his backpack…

Pieter Koolwijk does it again. He writes a story full of Koolwijk-esque characters that make you laugh, hold your breath, sometimes turn your stomach, and understand all too well what's happening in Obi's increasingly full backpack. Linde Faas once again creates a perfectly colorful whole.
